Additional Job Description

The Role:

To ensure:

  • the proper monitoring of expenses and that changes relating to the discount policy are authorized and properly documented
  • the smooth and effective operation of the credit control department
  • the smooth operation of the billing & settlement department
  • that database administration is controlled centrally and no unauthorized changes are done
  • support to the commercial department

Credit control 

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Credit control department
  • Ensure that the Group Accounting policy, “Accounts Receivable & Credit Management” is implemented and adhered to.
  • Provides relevant reports to the Commercial department but also the top management of the Country
  • Ensure the successful implementation of the cash race


Billing & settlement 

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Route settlement department
  • Ensure that at least the last day of the month based on 4-4-5 calendar, Route settlement is done same day.
  • Ensure that exception reports are generated daily and proper action is taken or proper authorization exists


Database administration

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the database administration department as per Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure that exception reports are generated daily and proper action is taken or proper authorization exists


Support to the Commercial department 

  • Fully understand any incentive schemes or other relevant financial schemes offered to the Commercial functions
  • Monitor such schemes and ensure that they are aligned with the Company’s strategic Goals
  • Ensure that any payments relating to such schemes are based on the principals of the scheme and are properly executed

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business or Accounting
  • Professional Accounting Qualification
  • Experience in corporate accounting environment and in particular in relation to the above tasks
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English Language
  • People skills (coaching, supervising, developing)
  • Relevant Information Technologies
  • Time Management
